Early Childhood Education at Nursery
The adults in the nursery will provide a safe and nurturing environment where I can thrive without my parents or carers. They will create a loving and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging me to build relationships and make new friends through shared play, mealtimes, and learning to listen to one another.
They will also support me in developing everyday routines by teaching me how to use cutlery and cups, wash my hands, and begin toilet training. They will gently guide me if my play becomes a little too adventurous.
Every day, the adults will sing traditional songs and nursery rhymes and share stories with me. Play is a vital part of my learning and development, both indoors and outdoors. The adults will help me to strengthen my fingers and toes and support the growth of my mind.
They are positive role models in all that I do, demonstrating the language and behaviours they would like me to learn.
The adults around me are just like Mum and Dad – like a little family – so coming here is really not too bad!
