Meet the Head Teacher

Michael Scott joined Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre in 2010. Michael has been part of the leadership team since 2012 and has held the position of Assistant Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher before becoming the Head Teacher in September 2019. Michael also has experience as an Executive Head Teacher of two schools.

Michael believes passionately in preparing children for the next stage of their education using a strong curriculum, exceptional personal and character development opportunities and developing emotional intelligence.

He was educated in Liverpool before achieving a BA (Hons) degree at Edge Hill University. He followed this with a postgraduate qualification from the University of Northampton and is a Mathematics Specialist Teacher. Michael also holds the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership.

In addition to his responsibilities at Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre, Michael is a school inspector.
