Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre is implementing UK Government’s Free Breakfast Programme, ensuring that all children in Reception, Year One, and Year Two have access to a nutritious breakfast at the start of their school day.
Who is eligible?
All pupils in Reception, Year One, and Year Two attending Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre.
This is a non-bookable service, meaning you do not need to sign up in advance.
Please note that our Free Breakfast Programme is not available to Nursery pupils or to pupils attending Someries Junior School. These pupils can access our chargeable breakfast wraparound service. Details of this service can be found here.
Breakfast
Location: School Dining Hall
Time: 8.20 a.m. to 8.50 a.m. (no entry after 8.30 a.m.)
What’s included: A healthy breakfast according to the menu below.
Supervision: Our Wraparound Care Team will support all children accessing our chargeable breakfast wraparound care service and Free Breakfast Programme.
How DOES it work?
Children can arrive between 8.20 a.m. and 8.30 a.m.
Breakfast will be served by our Catering Team, ensuring that all pupils receive a nutritious start to their day.
After finishing their breakfast, children will be supervised whilst accessing a variety of activities before being escorted to their classrooms by our Wraparound Care Team, ensuring a smooth transition into the school day.

Is this a free service?
Yes. All eligible pupils in Reception, Year One, and Year Two attending Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre can receive a free breakfast every school day.
Do I need to book in advance?
No booking is required.
What happens if my child arrives late?
To keep everything running smoothly, no entries will be allowed after 8.30 a.m.
Will there be any changes to the school day?
No. The regular school day will remain the same. This programme ensures that children start their day with a nutritious breakfast and a short, structured childcare period before lessons begin.
