Shaping the whole curriculum: Building coherence beyond core subjects
Leaders have formed their curriculum around ‘learning threads’. These hlp teachers understand what pupils learn fron Nursery Year to Year 2. Leaders are ambitious for what pupils can achieve. They have planned every curriculum area with precision. In all subjects, knowledge is broken down and organised into small learning steps. This helps pupils make connections with previous learning and understand more complex ideas. Pupils learn, through thoughtfully planned sequences of lessons, the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their learning tasks.

Discover Our Curriculum in Action: Inspiring, Intentional, Impactful
Join us for a dynamic training package that offers a comprehensive introduction to our innovative, whole-school curriculum model—rooted in the national curriculum foundation subjects and enriched with purposeful cross-curricular connections.
This session will empower participants to explore how our curriculum secures strong progression in learning, while seamlessly weaving in key elements such as SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural development), reading, communication, mathematics, and high-quality writing opportunities. These connections are designed to be meaningful to pupils and encourage them to apply their knowledge confidently across subjects.
You’ll also gain a deeper understanding of how our curriculum design challenges pupils appropriately, aligns with national curriculum aims, and builds knowledge and skills in a logical, carefully sequenced way. We’ll explore how our Early Childhood Education Curriculum lays essential foundations for success in Key Stage 1, equipping pupils with the understanding and readiness they need for the next stage of their education.
To bring everything to life, you’ll take part in a guided learning walk, providing first-hand insight into how our curriculum is brought to life in classrooms across the school.
Participants will also be provided with access to our Early Childhood Education Curriculum Milestone documents, which can be used to further curriculum development in your own setting.
Cost of this training: £350 per school or group of schools (maximum 10 participants per session)
Course length: Half-day
