Right to erasure

Under Article 17 of the UK GDPR individuals have the right to have personal data erased. This is also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’.The right only applies to data held at the time the request is received. It does not apply to data that may be created in the future. The right is not absolute and only applies in certain circumstances.

Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre considers privacy an important issue, so we allow our users the right to be forgotten, in compliance with GDPR regulations.

We may hold various pieces of personal information relating to you, such as your email or house address, your telephone number, or records of the services we’ve performed for you in the past.

If you would like us to delete some or all of the information we hold on you, please send an email [email protected] stating what personal data you would like us to erase.

We must allow you and your data the right to be forgotten, and thus deleted, from our website, databases and any other holding platform of data we obtain for you.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact us any time.

We may not be able to delete information that is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller (UK GDPR, Article 6 (e), ‘public task’).
