House System
At Someries Infant School and Early Childhood Education Centre, we operate a House System in which pupils are grouped into four House Teams
All pupils and staff are allocated to one of our four houses. Pupils are placed in a House on entry to school and will remain a member of this House Team throughout their time at our school. Siblings are placed in the same House Team.
Staff also belong to a House and encourage and support pupils in positive team building through the House System.

House points
House Points are awarded by all members of staff to recognise pupils’ positive attitudes, behaviours and achievements. They may be awarded for demonstrating polite and well-mannered behaviour, showing a caring attitude towards peers, consistently living our school values, working to the best of their ability, maintaining good attendance or punctuality, putting exceptional effort into a piece of work, or receiving a Head Teacher’s or Deputy Headteacher’s Award.
